Hounsdown School Association (HSA)

Each year we lose members, as the children of our parents / carers move on.  To ensure this Association continues, new members are always needed.

Any parent / carer can join our HSA, all are welcome.  If you would like to know more, want to contribute or become a member, please email HSA@hounsdown.hants.sch.uk.  We would love to welcome you to our team.

What we do

We hold variety of school events across each academic year and are always looking for volunteers to help make them a success. There are tasks for every skill set and we would love to see you involved.

Membership of the Parent Teacher Association also provides a forum for the sharing of knowledge and skills and Parent / Carer and community engagement in the school is important, as it creates a collaborative culture within the school.

There is also an opportunity for you to gain an insight and even influence school practices and policy, as well as organise activities to fundraise for equipment and experiences.

Our goal is to deliver items that enhance student learning and enjoyment.

What have we done

Through funds raised, the following are examples of what the team have supplied and supported…

  • Sports team shirts (Netball / Football)
  • iPads for Modern Foreign Languages (MFL)
  • Boxing equipment
  • Furniture for the Well Being Hub
  • A 3D printer for the Technology lab
  • Reward events, trips, vouchers, trophies etc.

We hold meetings in school once a term, which are always attended by at least one member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Donations

We appreciate that not everyone can be with us in person at these events, so if you would simply like to make a donation to the school, we will also be extremely grateful.

Donations can be made through ScoPay by selecting the ‘School Donation’ option (under the Trips and Events tab) and entering the amount you would like to give.
