Year 10 Curriculum & Work Experience

Students continue with their KS4 curriculum with separate ability sets for English / English Literature, Maths and Science.  All option subjects are taught in mixed ability groups.

Students who have opted for Triple Science will study for 12 hours a fortnight and will no longer continue with the GCSE examination Ethics & Beliefs course.  Students who take the combined science course will study for 7 hours a fortnight and will continue to follow the GCSE examination Ethics & Beliefs course.

In Year 10, students will either follow Combined Science or Triple Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) depending on selection.

Early Entries:  Students will all be entered for their Ethics & Beliefs and French / Spanish (MFL) GCSE exam in the summer term.

Work Experience

In July each year, Year 10 students are expected to undertake a week of work experience with their chosen employer.  If you have any questions, please speak to your tutor, teachers or Mr Weller, who is responsible for overseeing careers and work experience at our school.
